Will the Hill be packed or empty during the Thanksgiving holiday (Wednesday - Sunday)?

Good question...I have not been up there in the past during that time...so I can't help.

I was thinking about going up one or two times that weekend. I think I'll avoid Thanksgiving Day...I don't want to be totally depressed!

Usually it is pretty busy on Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving. People take their relatives from out of town up the hill to gamble a little.

I was thinking it wouldn't be too busy until Friday evening, given that the CU/Nebraska game starts at 1:30. Am I wrong to think that? I was planning on hitting the Gilpin's free tourney at noon on Friday--but I may go golfing instead.

Probably hit the Gilpin on Saturday...like to get in on the action with tourists.

First of all...

The cops are EVERYWHERE! Don't drive drunk or speed through the various roads back towards Denver this weekend!

Second...

I got there at 10:30am, and The Gilpin was absolutely dead. However, by the time the noon tournament started, there were so many people, they expanded it to 60 people.

By the time 3pm rolled around for the next tourney, about 10 tables were in play. By 7pm, EVERY TABLE was being used for a cash game or a tourney.

For those going up this weekend, have fun and enjoy allllll of the fish. :)
