When are the good tournaments in Blackhawk?

I have yet to find a quality tournament up the Hill. Here's why:
Nearly all the tournaments start you short stacked or very close to short stacked. And are very aggressive with the blinds. For example, you pay a $50 buy-in and recieve 1,000 to 1,500 in chips with the blinds starting at 25/50 and raised every 20 minutes (the time isn't so bad).
By the second round you are at 50/100 blinds and are potentially very short stacked if:
a) you've lost a couple of hands.
b) haven't even played a hand.
In my opinion, nearly every tournament up the Hill is nothing more than a forced all-in fest.
If anyone knows of a regular tournament up the Hill that doesn't force the play within the first 3 rounds, I'd definitely be interested.

Agreed, I have yet to find one I'd consider "quality" either...I'd say the home tourney's I've played in are a much better structure..

The poker rooms in Blackhawk aren't interested in the business of running long, drawn-out tournaments when the buy-ins are only $40-75.
Are low buy-in tournaments in Vegas also run like this? I wouldn't be surprised if they are.
A quick look at The Orleans website (http://www.orleanscasino.com/gaming/poker-new-nolimit-holdem.html), you start with $300 in chips, the blinds start at 10/15 and increase every 15-20 minutes! Not much better, IMO.

But the Orleans' tourneys all have rebuys that are more or less mandatory, giving you much more play for your dollar. Also, even though the blinds go up every 15 minutes, after an hour they're still only at 20-40.

The tourney I played at the Sahara was a good structure...I think you started with 2500 and the blinds started at 25/25 and went up every 20 minutes...
