Hey all I am new to the game of poker. I have played before but just once in a great while. I was wondering if there is a place you can go and play that is just for new guys like me? Or are there any tournaments that are just for beginners like me? Any suggestions or tips will be great. :lol:

Pretty much any of the free tourneys that are going on will work. I have been to Red and Jerry's and there were even some people that hardly new a thing about Hold'em. There are some good players too, but if you know the basics of the game you should be fine. I have also played in DPT events, and there were some beginners there too, but there were more experienced players at this one(at least last Wednesday)

Thanks for the info! I might just hit up Denver Poker Parties tournament at Fox and Hound in Lonetree. Try it out and see what happens!!!

I havent played that one yet...That is on Sunday night right? If it is I doubt I will be able to play. I am always busy on Sunday nights

hay Rage00 if you are looking for a good newbie game. Somewhere you can learn and have fun with out worring about loseing your whole bank roll. Try Marks games on Wensday nite. A+ games for players just strating out or jsut looking to learn more about how-to and such.

Yes that is the last sunday of the month. That will be the only time I will be able to get free time to play this month! I will let you know how it is once I play in it!

Try @ The Draft Sports Grill in Littleton @ SW Plaza(Wadsworth & Bowles) They have free tournaments on Tuesday @ 6:30 & Sundays @ 6:00. Lots of new players each week. :lol:
