whats goin in here. There is so many new members that seem to be signing up but no one is posting. I mean come on lets get this place crack'n. Dont be shy let the poker voice be heard. I feel like such a loner in here.
Yeah, it happens with new forums. Lots of people look and are slow to post.
Well being raised in Brooklyn, I understand that bribery works :)
So I will make a post up in announcements and see what I can do. Need some coffee right now but will do it today sometime.

I think a problem is that it's a poker board, and you can only talk about poker so much. Then there are the poor college kids like me that would like to be more involved but can't afford to buy into the $50 games every week.
you can only talk about poker so much
BLASPHEMY
I just finished watching Celebrity Poker while playing a ring game and a sitngo while chatting with a poker room manager and another poker site webmaster at the same time.
I still haven't reached critical mass
and still ended up with a +EV :D

I tend to agree that it is hard to talk a lot about poker, but I am sure I can talk some about it.

Can only talk so much about poker??!?!?!?!?!?!? Wow, if you are passionate about something, you can talk all day about it. Kinda like saying you can only talk so much about your kids...lol

If there is enough topics going on it will make it a lot easier to talk about poker. I know I like to talk a lot about it shortly after I play. Mainly I ***** about how bad my luck was, but I still have fun with it since i just play for fun.

I think a lot of people register so they can read everything. I know that is what i did at first. If there is stuff to talk about then you will see me posting quite a bit. Also, the incentives to posting are nice too!

There are incentives to posting? What kind of insentives to post? Never seen a board that would give out insentives to have people post!!!!

that no reason for bein a post-hor.....(im not saying you are jsut making a statement) I really dont want to see Rick take away the incentives because everyone is jsut posting for prizes. thing like bring up dead post and making "no point" post is the last thing this site needs. Rick i think you might need to assign some mods to help control you are one man and i would hate for you to get burned out becase this site has become a full time job. I have seen it alot on the other place i post.

I dont care about insentives but they can be nice. I just want to learn the game and get some valuable tips from more experienced players out there.

I would agree with that totally, but I know that one of Ricks goals is to get this site active, so the more people most meaningful stuff the more active and fun this board will become. I am not one that posts a lot of BS, mainly just on topic stuff right now. Rick even said earlier that we wanted to keep this an on topic place as much as possible...Rage check out the announcements page for what we are talking about, but read the rules carefully! The posts need to be meaningful!

I saw this on the Announcement page. With the insentives. This was under the FYI Section.
"I will be looking at doing some more ads for this site shortly. Newspaper etc. I am also looking for anyone who would like to post some flyers. I have some out there now and looking to get some posted on 'legal' bulletin boards at CU, CSU Red Rocks, CSM, nursing homes, payday loans, or any other place crawling with current or potential poker players. I have already papered the Auraria and DU campus but if I missed a spot there, then that too.
I was told we already made it to KOA radio"
Rick if you read this I can help you out. I play competitive softball and I am not talking about once a week or league. I play in Competive tounaments here in state as well as out of state. I also run tournaments! I know in the Softball community there are a lot of gamblers out there. If you want I have a tournament this weekend in Greeley and I can pass out some flyers to teams. As well I will be running a tournament at the end of this month and will give out flyers if you would like! I would like to just get the word out for your site. Let me know.
