I just got back from a 4 day trip to Reno where I won the NL tourney on Sunday: http://www.pokerpages.com/tournament/result11305.htm. Lots of really interesting stories from the days play, not the least of it getting into a heads up rematch with my old nemisis Tex Morgan.

But the big story for me was, when we were down to 5 players, I got all in when I was dominated and lost the hand. I barely covered the other player and was down to 3 T500 chips and had to post 2 of them for the ante. I went all in blind, got AK and won the pot when a K hit the turn. The next hand I was all in in the big blind (and couldn't even cover it), got AA and more than tripled through when a 4 flush hit the board. I went all in again in the small blind with Q8s when every one folded, the big blind called with Q2, I doubled through, and was right back in the hunt.

Just another data point that those "chip and a chair" stories are true!

Congrats, Oz! Couldn't have picked a better time to get those cards when short-stacked.

I'm sure you're whooping it up now spending all of your cash in all of the fine establishments in Arvado, Colorado!

Can I borrow $5?

Congrats guy. Nice to see a Colorado location on those lists for a change at the top.

Big congrats  on that accomplishment. That must have been quite a laugh around the table with the all-ins until it got you back in. Reminds me of Chris Ferguson at the WSOP, except for the outcome.

Congratulations. I'm just curious. Did you have to re-buy in this tourney?

Yes, you were pretty much forced to. $225 buy in got you T2000 and the 1 $200 rebuy got you T4000 more. So it was really a $400+25 tourney.
