Hi out there. I'm just getting started being interested in Hold 'em, and I would like to join or start up a group to learn to play.

I would like to play for no money, or if not that very very little money, as since I am new at this I know that I will lose a lot in the beginning :)

Anyone interested?

possibly, remind me after the new year!

I want to get a small game like this together so that I can teach my girl the basics.

I can probably bring my SO as well. That makes 4.

Maybe, Don't count on me just yet. I work 70+ hours a week now but I should slow down a bit after the new year and when I finally get time to hang out she is off to work at a club downtown.

So, nothing is for sure yet except I am going to start playing more on Tuesdays and Thursdays. from now on.

Welcome to the forum Telemann, I may be interested to play, my wife is learning and won't play unless I go with her. I think it would be fun. :schild27: :xwink:

Wonderful.

Shall we say sometime between Christmas and New Years? Or would you like to wait until January? I suppose I should volunteer to host (as least the first time) since it was my idea.

I don't have any chips, cards, or felt table thinggie, but all can be easily acquired.

If it works out, I can help supply some of these things.

Still interested? I'm thinking something along the lines of free and/or a five cent / ten cent limit. Mainly for fun and learning.

Hey teleman...Start witht he free so that you and the other newbies can talk through some of the hands and why you played them....that always helps when you start. I'll touch base with Timmie and see if we can help out in this. I have a relative or two who are looking to start playing also.

I should probably start collecting names and phone numbers of interested players. Would you send me this info via the private message feature of this forum (click on the profile button below my name)?
