I'm trying to find the best place to host a bachelor party poker game. We'll have 10-14 people and will likely need two tables with dealers, but are looking to make it somewhat private as it would be nice if we could bring in typical bachelor party entertainment. :Banane16:

I assumed Central City would be the place to look but I haven't found anything very private yet.

Any suggestions appreciated.

Don't think that you will find anything too "private" in Central city or Black Hawk. May want to look at some of the lodges around town...VFW, Elks, American Legion, etc. Some of these places have private rooms taht can be rented fairly cheaply.

LOL,
My bachelor party was a few weeks ago, and they tried to take me to Blackhawk, we stepped out of the limo and were immediately greeted by casino security and told we couldn't enter half of the casinos up there...........

The open bar limo probably didn't help and the public "drunken-ness" didn't either..... :drink3:

So we ended up at Fitzgeralds playing Blackjack..... :( No poker to be had.

I recommend a few things:
1) Don't arrive in a flashy limo
2) Don't have drunk people get out of said limo
3) Try to drink once you're up there, not 3 hours before and on the way up.......

:)

Hope my experience helps/saves someone else's bachelor party up there!

Good luck though,
cts

P.S. The wedding at the Bellagio went much smoother, and I was glad we did the Bachelor party here instead of Vegas, because it probably would have turned out like the new movie "The Hangover"......... :)
