Just a new thread to let you know what changes are being made.

First, the color has changed, ask psuedoswede :) It was also a complete change of all the pages so it will load faster on dial up.

The CALENDAR has been added and moved to inside of the forums. Kick A$$ cal program that will have the recurring games listed. You can SUGGEST and event for the cal and I will approve it at least for now. I will change that where you can add your own cal events.

I have created a calendar category for the poker tours.
If you want to add your weekly games to the calendar, knock yourself out :)

The LAST 10 POSTS that scrolled along the bottom is gone. You can check all posts since your last log in with the link at the top of the forum categories on the right side. So you wont have to wade through all the forums to find the latest posts.

Last 24 hour logins shows everyone that has logged into the forum in the last 24 hours. Imagine that :)

Page views is also self explanatory. It is for forum pages only, not the entire site.

In the forum post there is a little 'person' that lites up if the person who wrote the post you are reading is online.

There is a PHOTO GALLERY. Link at the top. You can upload you poker pics here to the appropriate gallery. There is one for home games and one for poker tour games as well as the Seagrams 7 event. If we need different cats, just let me know.

There is a SPELLCHECKER :) Just push the button after you write a post and before you post it and it will let you know.


There are several more mods to be added and I will update that as soon as they are functioning.

Well the next mods to be added are rather large. There will be a 'points' system as well as a bank.

This will lead up to DP having it's own 'currency' and with luck and some time, a department store the first part of next year.

The Bookmaker mod is in. I will try to keep some bets live in there, based on my time. Works just like 'Vito'. You bet, you lose, you pay but this is just for points(DP$), not kneecaps :)

The point mod is in. I will be adjusting it so dont worry if your point value goes up and down. It will settle in shortly.
Currently you get 2 DP$ for each new topic and 1 for a reply in certain forums. Mainly the General, Books/Videos/Strategy forums. There is a daily cap on the amount of DP$ you can earn.

Same for the bank. Its now available. You can save your DP$ in it and earn interest on your balance :) Loan sharking will be available soon ;)

I am still playing with it so we will find out together :)

I have changed the 'value' of DP$ from a round number to that which more closely follows the USD standard. That may work out better than needing to create a new world currency. Future plans being considered for the DP$ lend themselves better to that format.

So for now it is .02 for a new topic in 'cash forums' and .01 for replies with a 24 hour cap on the amount you can get.

You can tell a cash forum from a non cash forum by looking at your DP$ balance. It disappears when you are posting in a non cash forum. I don't think this will really effect the current postings in NCF but if it does, and posts are placed in the CF that should be in the NCF, then we have a 'Penalty Cash' remedy that will award negative DP$ at a very high price :evil:

Besides, just the the US Gov, when I or they run out we can both just add a ZERO to the balance sheet and make more $ :twisted:

Well I figured that to be a sucker bet no matter what the odds, sorta like betting on drawing 5 Aces and I don't want people to think we run a 3 card monte operation here :)

Well it seems to work fine. Just like Broken Nose Vito would run it. Since My bet won (thanx Mark :) ) I was able to run the processing and it paid and set the leaderboard up like it should.

I have added a new bet for the WPT 5 Diamond Classic at the Bellagio next week. Just a straight up bet for the winner with a wide variety of odds. I even included a 'field' bet ;)

So far 'The House' is down 17 so I really need the Broncos to lose today since only 1 side was bet :)

So from now until the end of the year you will be able to get a jump on your DP$ savings accounts.

I plan on starting to stock the store shortly after the first of the year.
