Yup, you read it right.
Yet another perk of being a member of the incredible, fast growing, overly generous, OK I will stop there :oops:
member of DP.
I have just installed a Texas Holdem table for DP :)
This ain't no free room at one of those offshore poker rooms. Nope, it's here built into the DP site.

It's flash and it's cool. I have played several hundred games on the system so it works pretty dang good.
When you play you will be playing with other netizens of DP. It is NOT a networked room. So maybe there will be players maybe not.

Because it's flash, your boss can't block it at the firewall. If you can reach the site, you can play poker :twisted:
The only thing I ask is that when you sign up, you use your forum name so people know who you are. I am Rick :)

Go ahead and play with it. I still need to tweek the backend, set the limits and such but it works now so go play and have a ball.
Now all the trash talk on the forums will be proven....or disproved ;)

Just one request, and I know you are busy and I don’t even know if it is possible but is there any way of showing who is playing at the table with out having to go all the way to the site. Kinda like a Who Is Online (http://www.denverpoker.com/forum/viewonline.php) type field?

I don't think so. You can see when you log in how many other people are logged in but not the names.
And just a quick FYI on it. The points are currenelty set to refresh once a day. If most would rather have just a running total let me know and I can change that. Also if/when you bust out and have no chips left you can leave the table, go to the lobby and click the Refresh Point link and you will get refilled. Refills are unlimited so even if your really ain't that good at poker, you can still keep playing :)

OK, it was too good of an idea to not have. I have talked to the developer and they will be adding that feature ASAP so I will install it as soon as it is ready.

ALSO, you should ALWAYS find a game now.
I have added BOTS for you to beat up on. Right now there are 3 if you want more or less, let me know but now there should always be someone/thing at the table.
They really suck so your ego will do well :)

I get to schockwave screen and it never goes any further.
Don't know why. Have you updated your shockwave lately? They are on something like V 10 now and yours may be too old for the game to run on.

It works great for me....tons of fun.
Lets have a vote on number of bots....I think two might be better.
Or better yet, can we have a second DenverPoker room with NO bots. That way, we can play each other without that "outside" interference if it so happens that some of us are on at the same time. I have already played a bit with TimmieD and with TJHoldem...lots of fun!

I took almost all of HoldEmKing's 100000+ stack in a few hands.
My only beef with the program is that you can't bet a certain amount. You have to use that "slider". And if you have a lot of chips, you go from 10 to 1000 with one small slide to the right.

What is the cost of a table. Sounds like something that can be managed fairly easily I bet. :moneybag:
OK, I didn't realize I could change it. I made the max buyin 10,000 now and raised the game to a 25/50 NLHE. If this is not to peoples liking, let me know.

Maybe I should start a new thread
BUT
DP now has a
TOURNAMENT POKER TABLE
It is set up as a 5 person, sitngo format. NLHE, 800 buyin, pays top 3, blinds go up every 10 hands. SB starts at 5 and tops out at 300. Pretty standard stuff.
It will not start until the table is full so we need to set up times to run the tourneys. You cannot enter a game once it is started and if you sign up and are not there by the 8th hand, you are removed.
This table is a trial to see how it goes and what kind of logistical nightmare it may present.
Ot shows up on the list when you log in to the regular game.
I can put bots into the tourney if you have less than 5 that want to play.
Any suggestions are welcome.

This will give more people a shot at the top spot and seeing their name in lights and keep TJ from crashing the system with a number larger than it can handle :)
Rick can the *point leaders* earn DP$ based on their place 1-10, plus a bonus based on their number of points. thanks russ :D :D
The game is separate from the DP$ program so they can't be used to update each other. It would have to be done manually, and since DP$ have value, there would need to be some way to cover it.

Well Fish Boy, as the first "Million Dollar member" of the DP in-house poker game forum, I would have to say that is a great idea. BUT, LET IT BE KNOWN TO ONE AND ALL.....THAT I WAS THE FIRST (!!!!!) in the million dollar club. :17: :kidding:
