Rick, seems to me that you missed one very important "Manner" in your Home Game Poker section (can't post there so I am posting here- move this to where you want to move it to...thanks.)
10 - Respect the host, his home and his property. The host is inviting people over to his home to give them another place to play. The Host does not have to extend the invitation...and if you disrespect his/her, his home or his property, you may not get invited back...or worse yet, he may just discontinue having games at his home. Show the host the respect that he/she deserves and you will continue to be welcome.

Here's another one...
11 - Don't be like Corey Hart (http://www.lyricsxp.com/lyrics/s/sunglasses_at_night_corey_hart.html). Unless you're playing poker outside under bright sunlight, leave the sunglasses in the car.

Hmm...yaknow, I agree entirely with the "respect the host" rule, but the sunglasses...hmm.
Here's my view on the whole thing. And this is based on a decade of playing in Vegas and running home games for over 3 years:
Sunglasses and personal stereos suck.
Here's why. Most new players believe people can get a read on em based on their eyes. This is silly since most players really don't know much about reading people. From what I've seen, it's hard enough for em to read their own hands.
And that's also an issue. I've seen sunglass wearers misread their hands because they couldn't distinguish the black cards from the red cards. Heck, I've even seen em bet waaay more than they intended to cause they couldn't tell the difference in chip color.
Another reason they suck is cause they tend to forget there are other "tells" they are signaling. Sunglassers relax their other mannerisms like their heartbeats (watch the neck) or their hands (shake rattle and roll).
Finally, it's seems envogue to wear glasses that are mirrors. Sure, sunglasswearer...hold those cards up nice and high!
As for the stereophonic folk, hit a lounge or karoke bar for musical appreciation. These folks are missing out on a big part of the game, which is the verbal stuff. Since in most places verbal is binding, how does it make sense to miss someone say "raise" or "call"? I think there was a segment on ESPN this past World Series that displayed this silliness. And man, does it slow up the game when they gotta repeatedly ask "who raised?" Watch and listen to the action!
In the end, I love these players, although I think their actions are useless. It shows their inflated sense of ego and lack of personal control. All good tells before the cards are even dealt.

My sunglass comment was for home games only. If someone wants to wear sunglasses at a casino poker room, go right ahead.
If someone brings a portable music player to a home game, then that's just plain rude, IMO. I brought my iPod last time to Blackhawk. I only put in one ear bud, and the music is low enough that I can easily hear what someone says if I need to. I definitely enjoyed listening to my music over the inane conversations between the dealers and the regulars.

I always listen to my MP3 player at casinos and bars just because I can listen to something that keeps me focused. I do keep the volume down enough to hear what everybody at the table says, but loud enough to drown out some of the back ground noise. I would never wear it to a home game because there's a lack of distractions in a place like that.

No one is pulling my sunglasses from my head. Not cause i dont want people to read my eyes. But i didnt get the nickname "hollywood" cause im a sexy man. I wear y sunglass every where and anytime. only time i dont have them on is in bed (wife wont let me) and drving at nite, or witching TV. I will wear my glass while playing card. I wear them playing baseball. Plus if you can read me then my glass had nothing to do with it. Plus i wear my hat to low anyways. as for the MP3 players i dont care as long as they can hear the game still

i'll wear my glasses during a tournament. Not if i was at a home game. that would be a little odd, but who really cares. however you need to get in the zone , right?
however you need to get in the zone , right?
That's true. I guess different people use different ways to get psyched up for a game.
