Anyone know who won/cashed big?

Their site says it's over, but doesn't show any results yet.

It is not over. they are probly nearing the FT though. I just finished 27 for $2,791.

I managed to survive today for 5 hours, never with an M higher than 4, without showing down a single hand. MY GOD was I card dead. I was playing great poker. If I would have gotten ANY hand to double up with EVER I am almost certain I would be looking at that final table in the next hour or so.

GL to all that are still in it. It was a blast and I will be there in april.

Hmm.. I thought it was scheduled to end last night, and they posted on their site that it's wrapped up. Guess I'll wait to see if anyone I know wins it.

Also there was a guy there with Heartland this morning who was obviously having trouble with his laptop... that might be why thier site isn't updated.

What were blinds when you left? Total entrants?

What were blinds when you left? Total entrants? well just over 300 entrants for the main event split into 2 heats that were held yesterday. today the last 60 left played and the top 30 got money. When I left the blinds were @ 10,000/20,000 with a 2,000 ante. That was 4 levels (2 hours) ago so they have gotta be WAY up there now. The FT should be starting VERY soon if it hasn't started already.

first is like 130k and the TV final table will be 6 handed. 6th gets like 24k.

Congrats Powda...a job well done.

We decided to take the easy way out and sold both of our seats for a nice little profit.

I am anxious to see who wins. Congrats again.

Yeah, congrats Podwa!

My second run in the $340's went pretty bad too, lost my all in to a 3 outer. :( Win that hand and I would have been right there with you....... :)

Maybe next time.

Since Brian is still banned, I will post this.

Oliver Schlemko, of the Denver Poker Tour, took 5th Place in the Heartland Poker Tours' event this past weekend. We have heard that other Denver Poker Tour players have also cashed in, and we are awaiting the results.

Update

Oliver started the final tournament table with 38,000 in chips, putting him short stack so to even make it the top 30 where the payout would have been $2,300. At the final televised table, he took out the 6th finalist and a few hands later chose to go all in with J Q off suit, came up against A J and ended his journey with a payout of $27,810.00.

I am interested to see who won as i am almost positive I played with him at some point during the tourney... honestly with 2 1/2 tables left it was hard to pick out a face I hadn't been seated with at some point over the last 2 weeks or even just on sunday....

Damn I wish I could have gotten some cards sunday, I just knew I would have made it real deep with a few hands.

Beter luck next time I guess.

Very nice result -- you are now King of Denver Poker Forum, at least until the next big buy in. :D

Too bad my posts from winning HORSE tourneys online and cashing in the World Championship of Online Poker HORSE event get deleted here :(

I am so bummed now that every work issue that was standing in the way of me playing in the Main Event had I qualified, worked out in such a way that I would have totally been able to try to qualify, since I would have been completely freed up to play the ME. Dammit. :(

Oh well, I'd have donked off two spots before money anyway, and the $340 I saved will buy 1.33 World Series tixets. :-D

Okay, now that's just weird. I didn't play the HPT, and someone with my identical first and last name made the final table. That's just truly freaky.

Congratulations PoWdA on your cash! It's nice to know that a fellow DPer made the cut.

I played next to Michael during the first qualifier. He was to my left and a very tight player. I was discussing strategy with one of the dealers on break and he informed me that he was a good player, just needed a little more aggression. What can I say now, he's the champ. He busted around 70th during that qualifier. Real nice guy and seemed in tune with the game.

Congratulations to Michael and the other final table players.
