Hello,

I am new here and to poker in general. I want to get better and figured playing in some of these bar tour games and tourney would be great. the problem I am having is finding any close enough I wont be driving half my night away. I live in Thornton and know there are some tours around here. I have check websites, etc and they all seem to be outdated. Most of them have their last update sometime in 2006.

What I am requesting is for replies with when and where some of these games are up north. I dont really care what tour, who is or does what or burned who or sucks because, blah blah blah. I just want to know where I can play, and will form my own opinions from there.

Thanks in advance for your replies!

Welcome to the forums, Frick.

I think there are two leagues that dominate the northern burbs. Amateur Poker Tour and Rocky Mountain Poker League. I also think Fox & Hound up there also runs an independent poker league.

If you run into dead-ends, I should have posted links to all of the poker tours under the "Rate the Poker Tour" forum. You can always throw an e-mail at the operators.

Good luck in your search, and definitely report back on your findings.

Just wanted to let you know that Denver Poker Tour has a couple of games in the Thornton/Northglenn area. Sunday's at 1 and Monday's at 7 you can go to Lake Avenue Inn (124th and Claude) and Saturday at 1 Las Palmas (120th & Colorado.) All of those are pretty good tournaments. Also there is a game in Henderson called Tailfeathers it's at 120th and Highway 85, not too far of a drive on Wednesday nights at 7.

Win 3 of those 4 games and you win the progressive cash prize. This Saturday it stands at $175 (not to mention a Trophy and various and sundry other goodies!)
