Hi guys. The Poker Tour has a new bar starting tonight for Washington park residents! The bar is the Wash Park Lounge on the northeast corner of alameda and downing. The winner will be recieving 2 winners certificates for the first night only!

Top 3 will also be awarded prizes from the bar and as with all of our FREE bar tourneys a win will get you into our finals winners tournament in march where the top 5 players will be going to the WSOP on us!

The tournament starts at 7:00. Show up and have fun. I won't be dealing there but I would still like to see a good turnout for this new bar! Good luck!

For anyone that hasn't played in one of these bar tournies, they're actually pretty fun and not bad practice for the tournies up the hill.

You'll see a lot of the same type of play.

Also, it's a benefit that Powda's not dealing, he deals people that he knows a lot of great hands like 9-3 offsuit, etc.

I wholeheartedly agree.

The only difference is ... people at bar tourneys will play any two cards; people at Black Hawk tourneys will almost play any two cards!

Yes there is equally horrible play in the bar games at times but for the most part the players are getting it and some actually play quite well.

I also don't play a lot of hold em. I prefer to be a lowball or razz donkey so I can be found playing any 3 or any 5 cards most of the time :D
