I don't know. I have never played it, yet. I just picked up the schedule at the charity game last night.
You can call JR Ewing  at 720-946-4245 for info. He is the poker room manager.
But I will be making the trip soon. Maybe if a few people are interested we can car pool to it and clean their clock ;)

Please report back on how early you had to show up to get a seat. Since these are single-table tournaments, I imagine they have a few tourneys/tables going on at the same time.
I'll probably hit the Thursday night tournament in December.

Probably looking at getting up there at about 9:30 or so. I hope that will be early enough. I don't even know what time the casinos open.
Casinos can't open before 8am so it will be close to that. I also think that they give the seats first to those playing in the cash games.

Had a great time up the Hill today. Tables opened at 10:00a.m. with 2-5 game. Good game, very good dealers, and comfortable setting. Tourney was well run with increasing blinds every 15 minutes.
After the tourney, they had two full tables of 2-5 running. Played for about 5 hours and had a great time.

What were the payouts? What is the re-buy policy? How many players used the re-buy? Was there only one single table tournament?

Here's an update on the "Mountain High Noon Shootout" tournaments.
There are two tournaments every day.
Tournament A
$25 buy-in
One $10 re-buy/add-on
Max. 20 players (2 tables)
Tournament B
$35 buy-in
One $15 re-buy/add-on
Max. 20 players (2 tables)
You are given 1200 in chips, and the blinds start at 25/50. Re-buy/add-on is only 500 chips within the first two rounds.
Both tournaments pay top three places.
If people are interested, I can post the official rules.

By request...(I also took the liberty of correcting many typos and grammatical errors.)
TEXAS HOLD'EM POKER TOURNAMENT RULES 2004 - NOON SHOOT OUT
The Mountain High Casino Texas Hold'em Poker Tournament will be held seven days a week at 12:00 Noon. These will be multi-table tournaments.
Players may register by paying the $25.00 buy-in with one $10.00 re-buy for tournament (A) or $35.00 buy-in with one re-buy of $15.00 for tournament (B) at the Poker Podium. (Players may only sign up for one of the tournaments.)
Each tournament will be limited to a maximum of twenty (20) players. If at least ten (10) players have not entered by the start of the tournament (either A or B), it will be cancelled.
Player seat assignments will be decided through a random drawing prior to the commencement of the tournament. No substitution or switching seat assignments will be allowed. A maximum of ten (10) players per table.
The tournament blinds will be as follows: (Round/Little Blind/Big Blind) 1) $25-$50, 2) $50-$100, 3) $100-$200, 4) $200-$400, 5) $500-$1000, 6) $1000-$2000, 7) $2000-$4000, 8 ) $4000-$8000, 9) $8000-$16,000, 10) $16,000-$32,000, 11) $32,000-$64,000, 12) $64,000-$128,000.
Players will be given $1,200.00 in non-value tournament chips at the beginning of the tournament. One re-buy of ten dollars ($10.00) for tournament (A) and one re-buy of fifteen dollars ($15.00) for tournament (B) can be made at any time up to the start of round (3) for $500.00. (All-rebuys will be closed after the first card is dealt in the start of round three.)
All chips and cards must be kept in plain view, on the table, at all times.
Each round will last fifteen (15) minutes. Breaks will be granted at the discretion of the poker room supervisor.
The tournament will be dealt in accordance with established MHC Texas Hold'em Poker rules. This includes the use of the "no dead button" rule.
The tournament starts with button in seat ten, blinds in seats one and two. Minimum bet for each round is equal to the big blind for that round.
There will be no missed blinds. If a player is absent when due a blind, the amount of the blind will be posted from the player's chips. If the action reaches the player and the player is not present, their hand will be declared dead.
Players will be given a reasonable amount of time to make their wager. However, if no bet has been placed after one (1) minute, a warning will be issued and that player will be forced to check. If that player is facing a bet, their hand will be declared dead.
Odd chips (three (3) or more) will be "raced off" prior to the conclusion of rounds two (2) and five (5). The race off will be performed to eliminate the lower value chips from play. Before the beginning of round three (3), each player with $25 chips that do not equal $100 will place their odd chips in front of them. The poker dealer will deliver one (1) face-up card to each of these players for each odd chip they have in front of them. The player receiving the highest card by suit will receive one (1) $100 tournament chip. The process will continue with the players receiving the second-highest card by suit until the value equal to all of the odd chips is distributed in the $100 tournament chips. However, no player may receive more than one (1) $100 tournament chip during this process. In addition, a player cannot be knocked out of the tournament during the race-off.
All hands will be declared dead in the event of a misdeal.
Any player caught flashing or deliberately showing their cards to another player or spectator will be subject to disqualification.
Converstaions between players and spectators are not permitted during the hand.
All disputes must be handled at the table before completion of the hand. Poker dealers will defer to the poker room floor person for a ruling. The poker room floor person will solve all protests in a manner deemed fairest to all parties and the ruling will be final.
In the event that two (2) or more players are eliminated on the same hand, the player who started the hand as chip leader between the two will place higher. (If both players start the hand equal, those players will be considered tied for purposes of prize distribution.) The prize monies will be pooled and divided amongst those who tied for places. At the end of twelve rounds, players will be placed by their amount of chips. In the event of a tie a one (1) hand playoff between the tied players will be held with blinds of $500.00-$1,000.00. The winner will be awarded the place and all other players will drop one spot. Each player in the playoff will draw high card for the small blind.
The tournament prize pool will be funded through 100% of buy-ins and re-buys collected and based on the following prize structure (per table):
[list:02b170c026]
1st place - 50%
2nd place - 30%
3rd place - 20%
All prizes will be paid out of the poker Imprest bank, following all procedures outlined in the ICMP's
MHC reserves the right to cancel the tournament at any time 48 hours prior to the tounament or if minimum contestants have not signed up by tournament time.
MHC reserves the right to modify the session times as necessary.
Entrants must be 21 years of age or older to participate.
Tournament registration is limited due to space. All entries are processed on a first-come, first-serve basis. All players' buy-in and entry fee must be paid at the time of their sign-up for the tournament.
Contestant's entry into any tournament indicates that he/she agrees to abide by the rules of the tournament and allow MHC to publish his or her name and/or likeness for publicity or promotional purposes without compensation.
Refunds will be given as requested if the entrant has not begun play.
All prizes are subject to state and federal taxes and are the responsibility of the participant.
Dealer tipping is optional at the end of the tournament.

I've been told it's a $10 "juice," but I can neither confirm nor deny that figure. You would think they would be required by law to state what percentage of the buy-in is paid out to the players.

That will work Russ. I look forward to it.
Played in the $25-$10, I made one mistake and took 3rd   , the game was good. We started at 12:00, 12 players at the table , and the re-buy (500) was handed out after the first hand. So really 1700 chips for tourney. Very fast dealers and loose play I thought. The tourney was finished about 1:30 but I didn't get paid until 3:45   , I really wanted to play in the $35-$15 tourney but I was to late.
Good tournament but to long to pay out. If you want to go up from 12-4 its ok I wouldn't mind if I got In the 30 player tournament but our single table event finished 1 1/2 hours before the other tournament but they still wouldn't pay us until they finished the other tournament.
thats it 8) 8) merry poker :xwink:
