How would you rate/rank the three four poker rooms?
I prefer The Lodge over Mountain High, mainly because it feels a lot more open...and their chocolate shakes. Mountain High does give out $5 comps, but I hate how the poker "room" is crammed in the back corner. Unfortunately, I always come out smelling like an ashtray when I leave either place. :( Everything else is about equal: dealers, staff, free food, players, wait-list times. Seems like if you arrive before 6pm on weekdays, and noon on weekends, you can pretty much sit down immediately.
I have yet to visit Colorado Station, but with only six tables, I'm sure it's pretty difficult to get a seat. I also haven't visited Fortune Valley, but I also believe they don't have a lot of tables.
I'm definitely looking forward to seeing what The Gilpin will offer.

fortune valley has a good sized poker room. I know they expanded a few months back and moved the BJ games back downstairs.
central station is big for tournaments - have them everyday
i prefer the lodge because that is the biggest so all the newbies seem to go there and I do better then hence that is why i like it best

The room at the Lodge is a lot nicer than Mountain High, since Mountain High does cram you in the corner and the Lodge has a somewhat separate room. Mountain High can be really loud since it is right by the cash cage where people cash in their slot winnings. The Lodge also has put in plasma tvs, which is nice.
But, I've been playing exclusively at Mountain High lately because the rake is only $3, whereas The Lodge goes to $5 on the weekends. Over a 5-6 hour session, that can make a big difference. It seems like the action is a lot better in the $2-5 game, at least in part because of this. Mountain High also has better food and will give you a $4 comp coupon if you ask.
I haven't played at Colorado Central Station, although I used to play blackjack there periodically before I discovered poker and liked it.

Love the Lodge Poker room. It is very "comfortable". Mountain High is just to "Busy...." alot going on around the poker room.

I would have to say I like the Lodge more that the others. I am trying to get a friend or two to go up this week sometime.

I've only played at fortune valley and central station. i like FV better for the live action because the players and dealears are more relaxed and talk a bit more and have more fun. but i do perfer the tourneys at CCS. either way i have nevjer waited more than 10-15min to sit at either.

Let me be the first to :schild27: you to the Forum. I will be checking out Fortune Valley next week. I usually play in Black Hawk,(the Lodge or Mountain High) I hear Fortune valley has some nice tourneys, though.
