$1000 Tournament Sunday

I was wondering if anyone else here in the forum qualified for the $1000 Tournament Friday @ Heavenly Daze? If so, what place did you finish?

The $1000 Tourney is on SUNDAY, not Friday. Hope you can still make it. We have a trophy for you, since you were 3rd overall for the month.

Well, I did play, and the tournament was quite the experience, to say the least. 128 people started off at 6pm, and when all was said and done, it was midnight, I was heads up for a grand, and ended up 2nd place. Now I know what it must feel like to lose the SuperBowl. :cry:

It was a great learning experience though, and the atmosphere was electric at the end especially. Every card and every bet was met with flashing cameras, roaring cheers and rumbling groans. Having dozens of excited people watching and reacting to your every move is quite a rush, let me tell ya.

I can't wait to experience that again, but next time, one place higher. I am hoping it's tonight at B52's :D See you guys there. I'll be wearing the #13 Broncos jersey, so say hello!

I got the trophy for finishing 3rd place in points for the month of October. Had nothing to do with the actual tournament. Winner take all, no consolation prise for second place. bummer They did give all players at the final table an automatic entry in their annual tournament where the winner gets a trip to the WSOP.

I'm not exactly sure (pretty sure, but not exactly), but I think I had K5os, he had A6os. I went all in, he called, he won with aces and sixes at the river.
