Hey Guys,
I was playing on FT tonight and this hand came up which made me wonder "why"....:
It said that the LO winner held: 65432
and I had: 8652A
I am wondering why my Ace did not qualify as the better LO hand?
I know I had an 8, but I thought the Ace was the better "kicker" or am I just *that* tired at 2:00AM that I can't think straight....???
Possibly the latter on that one.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks

I'm gonna give this a shot, i'm still not completely clear on Hi/low stuff,
He won that pot because he had 6 high and you had 8 high. The "low" pot goes to the person with the lowest low card that is the highest in their low hand. :scared: If that makes any sense. Therefore a six high will always beat an 8 high just as a 5 high will beat a six high. In the case that you are sharing top low cards i.e. you both have 7 high the kicker is the next highest card in each person's hand. If it goes all the way down to the last card i.e. 65432 v. 6543A the ace would play here and get the low. Hope that's right, I think I confused myself writing this.

Ok, thanks Pedro, I guess I thought the Lo went from bottom up, not top down...but that's why I was playing in the .05/.10 CAP PL game, not the $400/$800 with Mike Matasuw.....lol :)
Thanks for the reply!

yup, the lowest high card in your hand is what counts.
