Soft opening happened on July 10, with an actual grand opening on July 21. The poker room is probably not open yet, but probably will be starting on Friday.

Any details?

I like how this company owns casinos in South Africa, Czech Republich, and...Cripple Creek and Central City!

Is that the one being built across from Fortune Valley?

Womack's in Cripple Creek is pretty lame... hope they do better up there!

I went to this casino for the soft opening after I got off from Fortune Valley and it is off to a good start. If their poker dealers are like their BJ dealers then there will be some really good ones, and some really slow ones. They hired at least 2 total break-in in BJ and they were very nice, but one of them has a lot of work to do before she is totally ready. She was really nice which is good, but she will need to pick up the pace of the next couple of weeks or she will get complaints from the customers. I have heard that poker will be opening on the 21st. Since I am up there on Friday I will try and confirm that.

poker room is a joke IMO it has the atmosphere of a home game with a little class. 6 tables in an area that appears to be a basement. I got stuck in the elevator from the casino to the poker room. Cant smoke in here ever, and no tourneys yet.

just for the record I actually like home games, that wasnt meant to put them down in any way. I just expect more from a brand new casino than a basement that LOOKS like a basement. Oh and they had 1 table going, dealers seemed REALLY new house didnt know wth I was asking when I asked a few questions and I know people exaggerate about bingo a lot, but truely 90% of the hands I saw won there were on the river and that is not an exaggeration, I seriously saw 1 hand won before the river.
