Has anybody ever gambled in the big easy? I'm heading down there this weekend and was hoping to get a little insight on where the place to play is.
Both Ballys and Harrahs have casino there so I doubt you could go wrong with them but only Harrahs lays claim to having poker tables, 20, to play at.

I did make it to harrahs, however it was at the tail end of a night out on the town so needless to say I didn't have my shirt. I bought in $60 around 12:30 or 1:00 AM and played $3-$6 until around 9:30 AM. I was up to around $120 and told myself when I hit $150 I would quit and never quite made it. Damn greed...

That's too bad...when i gamble in the casinos, I usually stop after doubling my money...

Me too "normally" but there was nothing normal about this trip. I would say that more than likely it was the hurricanes that disabled my logical thought process.

At least you were only down 60$ after 10+ hours of playing...so it wasn't a complete loss =)

That was my thought exactly. I actually spent much less in the casino than I did in 3 hours on bourbon street.

it dosent matter . You could have made it to 150$ and you would have never stoped. that the most famous words in the gambling world. "I will stop when i hit xxx.xx$ i swear." and you know what no one ever dose. thats why Las Vages is still in business. LOL

Yeah, the poker room was really big, I'd say 25 tables or so and even late night they were pretty packed. The dealers were knowledgable and friendly. There was also a good range of players from 21 years old to 65-70. Their lowest stakes game was $3-$6 with a miinimum $30 buy in. There was a no limit game going too, just too rich for my blood.
