I just got back from a trip to vancouver and of course I had to play some cards. I checked out River Rock Casino in richmond which is just outside of vancouver. The casino is only 2 years old 70,000 sq ft and it is really nice. They play almost any game you could want to play including craps and roulette, and there is no $5 limits.:D Food was good too, definitely check out the noodle bar if you go. The poker room is upstairs, separate from the casino and is beautiful. They have 25 tables, auto shufflers, and daily tournaments (I didn't have a chance to play in one though:() The games they spread:
2-4, 4-8, and up limit depending on interest
No limit starting at 1/2 and up
The tables were pretty nice, but were a little bit crowded with 10 players, but the games were run very well. I played 1/2 NL when I started and had my top 2 pair busted by a better 2 pair on the river, rrrrr:mad:. From there i went and played 4-8 limit for the rest of the night and ended up winning $230 CAN, so all in all it was a good night. One thing that I thought was pretty cool was that you're playing with Canadian money, so depending on the exchange rate if you're playing 1/2 it's more like you're playing .85/1.70 US, so the limits are a little lower.
The only drawback to the casino is they don't comp hardly anything, I even had to pay for a bottle of water which I thought was weird:rolleyes: , but they are still relatively new and I was told that they would begin a player points program for poker players soon. (they already have it for slots, and theygive you $5 if you sign up)

If you're ever up in that area check it out, hope my info is helpful!

Thanks for the review.

CDN$2/4 poker would be like nickle/dime poker in US dollars!

Do they call the 1/2 NL game "Loonie-Twonie"?

Okay, I'll stop.
