Anyone ever play here? Its a nice room with good play. If the interest warrants I will elaborate.

I did...once. The floor is rude and the staff is usually in hiding because you can't find anyone to help with anything.

The service, in a word, SUCKED, so I will drop my $$$ elsewhere.

I think you need to give them another chance. I think they are very friendly and I like the texture to the games up there. and...they spread 7 stud!!

If Fortune Valley is the same one claiming the best view from a poker room in the west, then I agree with Rick. They were rude, hard to find, and the view did not live up to the hype either.

I am actually a dealer there. If you have problems with the floor people, I would suggest asking to speak with Red. I work the day shift and all of the day floor people are very nice. What I have seen from the night crew hasnt been that bad, but I have not worked much at night. As far as the view is concerned I would not call it the best view, but it isnt too bad. The poker is good poker in my opinion. You dont have any kamakazie sp? games very much anyway. We do spread 7 stud hi-lo on Saturdays. We are the only place up there that spread that game on a consistent basis. Also, we have a promotion on Sundays. The have five $100 drawings during the day. To qualify for the drawings you just need a hand of A's full of 8's or better.

I hear that they pay poker players $1 an hour with a club card. Is that still true? Do they comp food there?

Yes it is true. It is $1 per hour in comps. So you can pretty much get a 2 for 1 buffet or a $5 comp to their deli for just 5 hours of play. You also get the benefits of a discounted if not fully comp room there after many many hours of play!
