Playing 2-5 spread at the Double Eagle last weekend. A lady sits down with 50 white and gets dealt in right away. Flop and turn are rags to my hand, and it checks around for both. I have J 5 and bet 5 on the river when a 5 hits figuring it to be the best, and the 5 put a straight draw out there to scare the others. This lady talks to the guy next to her for a good 2 minutes before the dealer finally hears me complaining and puts a stop to it. My opinion is that her hand is now dead, as she's gotten advice, whether the other person knew what she had or not (that part I don't know). I should have won the pot right there. Except he lets her call and she shows pocket A's. Ok... so I would have lost anyways.... the point is that the hand should be dead right? I'm not so concerned with the final outcome, although for a checked around pot, it was pretty decent. There were 8 people in @ 5 bucks each preflop ($5 blind).

She could have been talking about anything. Let it go.
I was playing in a tourney there last August. I had aces full and put the opponent all in. He calls and shows 8's full. The dealer gives him the pot and quickly mucks all the cards. I protested and eventually called the floor over. Since the hands were mucked the floor said the decision of the dealer stands. After that, I refused to play any hands in ring games when that dealer was on my table. I just sat and watched. Some thought I was being a dick.

Sure, but you had every right to be a dick...I would have done the same. Maybe worse.

I could HEAR the conversation, talking about everything from flush draws to str8 draws, both on the board, and how the guy didn't believe i would have bet like that with it. I couldn't just get over it.
