Hi All,

I'll be making a trip to Denver around Christmas. Although it has been a while, I always run up to the mountains to play some poker.

Where does everyone like to play? recommendations? Where are the fish?

What games are being spread? Is the 2-5 spread limit fishy? or should I stick with a 2-4?

Is anyone running Omaha?

I'll probably be going up the Fri b4 Christmas. Anything special going on that might be of interest?

Thanks in advance,
Traxx

2-5 can be fishy because everyone wants to hit the bad beat jackpot, but I hate spread limit. I stick to 2/4, and you can grind out a profit a majority of the time.

The Gilpin offers 1-2-5-5 Omaha hi.

I like to play at The Gilpin, but I've heard the softest/fishiest action is at Mountain High.

Hi,

Thanks for the quick reply.

I imagine wait times on the Friday before Christmas will be pretty long. What time would you recommend that I get there to have a reasonably short wait time?

How many tables does the Mountain high have?

Thanks.

That's a good question. I'd imagine you wouldn't have trouble getting a seat if you went up there in the mid-afternoon. It'll probably be packed by the evening.

Mountain High has about 12 tables. I don't like MH because the "room" is crammed in a back corner of the casino. No windows, low ceiling, and very smoky.
